Wallbox’s Supernova 180 receives UL 2202 North America Product Certification

Wallbox, a provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy management solutions, has announced that its Supernova 180 has passed the UL 2202 product certification for the American market.
This certification, conducted by SGS North America Inc., signifies the product’s readiness for the North American market. UL 2202 is a principal standard for the safety of DC EV chargers in North America, ensuring the safe and efficient use of the device.
The Supernova 180 has been designed to meet the needs of the North American market. This DC fast charger employs a modular approach to ensure optimal reliability and improve the cost and ease of installation and maintenance. The Supernova 180 can support up to 180 kW of charging power, enabling it to add 100 miles of range in under 10 minutes. Its compact design allows for fast charging opportunities even in locations with limited space and power, such as gas stations, high-power charge hubs, car dealerships, and shopping malls. The Supernova 180 can charge two EVs concurrently with split-charge configurations, is compatible with all vehicle makes, models, and charging standards including CCS and NACS, and offers customizable branding options.
Wallbox has already received a substantial backlog of orders for the new Supernova 180 from existing strategic partners and expects to begin the first deliveries of the product later this quarter.
