SWIO installs fastest EV charging stations to date in Luxembourg, made by EVBox

SWIO, a charging management solution provider for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, and EVBox, an electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions company, have partnered to install EVBox Troniq High Power charging stations in Luxembourg. These stations, which are among the fastest in the industry, deliver up to 400kW. The initiative is part of a joint venture between mobility service provider Losch and infrastructure engineering firm SOCOM, aimed at promoting EV charging in Luxembourg.

The EVBox Troniq High Power charging stations have been designed with an innovative installation feature that simplifies grid connection. After extensive field testing and customer feedback, EVBox developed an in-house installation method that allows installer partners to have full control over the installation of heavy power cables. The process involves placing a plate base into the ground for easy and fast grid connection, followed by the charging station. This method eliminates the need for complex plinths, maximizes space for installers, minimizes errors and delays, and ensures a hassle-free installation process.

The installation of these 320kW and 400kW charging stations marks the beginning of SWIO’s partnership with EVBox to make fast charging more accessible across Luxembourg. SWIO plans to install multiple EVBox Troniq High Power charging stations throughout the country, potentially transforming these areas into significant charging hubs.
