SEA Electric and Hino Trucks: Accelerating the Future of Commercial Electric Vehicles – SEA Electric

• SEA Electric and Hino Trucks expand their partnership, integrating SEA’s proprietary SEA-Drive® power-system into Hino’s M and L Series, accelerating the adoption of electric vehicle technology in the commercial sector.

In March 2023, SEA Electric and Hino Trucks announced an expansion of their existing relationship, furthering a partnership aimed at transforming zero emission transportation in the U.S. This follows earlier agreements where Hino Trucks entrusted SEA Electric to supply class 5 trucks under the SEA Electric brand, reflecting their confidence in SEA’s innovative capabilities.

The latest development allows SEA Electric’s proprietary SEA-Drive® power-system to be integrated into Hino Trucks’ M and L Series. This integration is a significant move towards the widespread adoption of electric vehicle technology in the commercial sector. The SEA-Drive® system is recognized for its claimed efficiency, reliability, and eco-friendliness.

This partnership enables Hino Trucks to provide an all-electric solution for all markets affected by the Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) mandate. The collaboration goes beyond vehicle integration; staff, dealers, and customers are also embracing SEA Electric’s expertise and offerings.

SEA Electric was recently invited to the Hino Parts Convention in Las Vegas. The Hino M5e powered by SEA-Drive® was displayed on stage, demonstrating the practicality and viability of all-electric technology.

Furthermore, SEA Electric partnered with Hino Trucks at the Ignite Dealer Conference. Presentations were given by SEA Electric’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mike Menyhart, and Vice President of Engineering, Joseph Greenley. They highlighted the innovative technology and strategies driving the collaboration between SEA Electric and Hino Trucks.
