Littelfuse Launches the First Automotive Grade PolarP P-Channel Enhancement Mode Power MOSFET

• Littelfuse releases the first automotive-grade PolarP P-Channel Power MOSFET, IXTY2P50PA, designed for demanding high-voltage EV applications.
Littelfuse mentioned one key feature of the -500V, -2A IXTY2P50PA, its AEC-Q101 qualification, which makes it ideal for automotive applications.
They also noted its low conduction loss. With a maximum on-state resistance of 4.2 Ω, it offers reduced power dissipation which decreases heat generation and improves efficiency in end applications. In addition, they mention it provides excellent switching performance due to its low gate charge of 11.9 nC, enabling fast and efficient operation.
The MOSFET also exhibits ruggedness in demanding environments due to its dynamic dv/dt and avalanche rating, proving its durability/reliability.
The compact TO-252 (DPAK) footprint of the IXTY2P50PA allows for a power-dense PCB design, offering significant space savings on the PCB. This space-saving design can be beneficial for automotive manufacturers looking to optimize their applications in limited space.
The PolarP Series is suitable for a variety of automotive electronics and industrial applications such as Automotive ECUs, sensor circuits, high-side switches, push-pull amplifiers, automatic test equipment, and current regulators.
Raymon Zhou, Product Marketing Manager at Littelfuse, commented on the launch, “We are thrilled to introduce the first automotive-grade PolarP P-Channel Power MOSFET to the market. The IXTY2P50PA offers exceptional performance and reliability, making it ideal for demanding automotive applications. With its AEC-Q101 qualification and competitive specifications, we believe this MOSFET will greatly benefit automotive manufacturers.”
The PolarP P-Channel Power MOSFET is available in reel packaging of 2500 pieces through authorized Littelfuse distributors.
