LEVC’s first EV rolls off the assembly line, The L380 Luxury MPV

LEVC, a manufacturer of high-end taxis, has begun production of its first fully electric model, the L380 Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV).

The L380 is the first model to be built on their Space Oriented Architecture (SOA), a state-of-the-art EV platform co-developed with the Geely Holding Group. This platform will expand LEVC’s vehicle line-up, offering advances in range, efficiency, safety, charging time, durability, and connectivity.

On 25th January, the first L380 prototype was produced at the assembly line in Yiwu, China, where LEVC’s manufacturing operations will be based. This follows a significant investment in the site, which has been repurposed to meet the requirements of the industrial future. The facility will operate alongside the company’s factory in Ansty, Coventry.

The L380 will initially launch in China, with plans to introduce the MPV to the UK market within the next two years. The new model builds on LEVC’s heritage of providing purpose-built solutions for urban mobility. The L380 offers multiple seating configurations, available in a three, six or eight-seat layout. More details about the model will be released in the coming months.

The company mentioned that the expansion of LEVC’s manufacturing capabilities is a key part of the company’s transition to a global e-mobility brand.
