Kubota and Kurimoto are jointly developing a continuous production system for secondary battery electrode slurry

Kubota Corporation, an industrial machinery and equipment company, and Kurimoto, Ltd., a manufacturer of industrial machinery, have initiated a joint venture to develop a continuous production system for secondary battery electrode slurry. This system will integrate a feeder for maintaining a steady flow of raw materials and a twin-screw kneader for uniform mixing of these materials.
Secondary battery electrode slurry is produced by mixing raw materials such as conductive aids and binders into active material. The stability and continuity of the measuring and kneading of these raw materials determines the quality and production efficiency of secondary batteries.
Kubota brings its expertise in gravimetric feeders, which are used to maintain a constant flow of raw materials in various industrial fields. Kurimoto, on the other hand, is a leading player in Japan in the field of twin-screw continuous kneaders, which allow for the even kneading of raw materials in a short time. By combining their respective areas of expertise, the two companies aim to develop an optimized continuous production system for secondary battery electrode slurry.
