Kempower unveils NACS connector for its EV chargers in North America

Kempower, a provider of electric vehicle charging solutions, has introduced the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector to its product lineup. The NACS connector is a standardized plug and socket configuration designed for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure within the region.

Kempower’s DC fast chargers, Satellite, Movable Charger, and Station Charger can now all be equipped with the NACS connector. The introduction of the NACS connector aims to streamline the EV charging process by establishing a uniform standard across different charging networks and manufacturers.

Kempower designs and manufactures reliable and user-friendly DC fast-charging solutions for electric vehicles. The company’s product development and production are based in Finland, with the majority of its materials and components sourced locally. Kempower focuses on all areas of e-mobility, from electric cars, trucks, and buses to machines and marine. Its modular and scalable charging system and software are designed by EV drivers for EV drivers, aiming to provide the best user experience for customers around the world.

Jed Routh, Vice President of Markets and Products, North America, added, “This standardization enhances interoperability, ensuring that EV drivers can easily access charging stations regardless of the brand or type of vehicle they own, which is the perfect solution for our current and future customers.”
