Kempower ships first North American produced EV charger to Canada

Kempower announced their first charger built in North America has shipped to their customer in Canada, built in their new plant in North Carolina.
They are shipping a 600kW Kempower Power Unit and Charging Satellites to the Athabasca oil sands in Alberta.
Kempower’s solutions feature dynamically shared power, controlled and optimized through their proprietary software, ChargeEye. The company is in discussions with municipal designers across major metropolitans to provide their DC-FC EV charging systems to operators who need both low and high voltage; overnight, destination and on-the-move megawatt charging options.
Fast facts on Kempower’s future:– Trucks, buses, and coaches are currently responsible for around 25% of CO2 emissions from road transport in the EU and approximately 6% of the region’s total emissions.– In the US, medium and heavy-duty trucks account for about 29% of road transport’s total emissions – and approximately 7% of the country’s total – despite being less than 5% of the total vehicles on the road.– Emissions are continuing to rise, primarily due to the growing amount of freight traffic on roads.– According to a report by Finnish industrial recycling company Kuusakoski Oy, the recyclability rate of Kempower Movable Chargers is currently at total of 99.61%.– Kempower aims for 99% end-of-lifetime recyclability rate in all its product groups.
