Harbinger delivers first electric chassis to Thor Industries

Harbinger has delivered its first customer chassis to THOR Industries.

The delivery marks the first customer receipt of the Harbinger electric chassis, which THOR intends to upfit into an electrified class A RV. The chassis was assembled at Harbinger’s headquarters in Garden Grove, California, and then delivered to the THOR US Innovation Lab in Elkhart, Indiana, for product design exploration.

Harbinger and THOR have been collaborating for over a year on the electrified future of RVs. They previously announced a strategic partnership in which Harbinger’s electric medium-duty platform will play a crucial role in THOR’s long-term North American eMobility innovation strategy. THOR was also a lead investor in Harbinger’s recent Series A round of funding, which enabled the company to start commercializing its vehicles for customer delivery.

There is a growing demand for electrified chassis within the medium-duty segment, which forms the foundation of a large number of recreational vehicles.
