GRIDSERVE launches EV charging hub at London Gatwick Airport

GRIDSERVE has launched its latest Electric Forecourt® EV charging hub at the South Terminal of London Gatwick Airport. This marks the first European international airport to have a dedicated electric vehicle (EV) charging station, powered exclusively by net zero carbon energy.
The London Gatwick Electric Forecourt® features 30 EV charging bays, with 22 of them being 350kW-capable High Power chargers. These chargers, available 24/7, are equipped with both CCS and CHAdeMO connectors, enabling the latest electric models to gain 100 miles of range in less than 10 minutes. The site also includes four 22kW-capable low-power AC chargers and four Tesla Superchargers, catering to all types of electric vehicles.
The hub has a Little Fresh grocery store and a Costa Coffee for visitors.
The new forecourt is part of GRIDSERVE and London Gatwick’s efforts to decarbonize the airport ecosystem and provide cleaner transport options for the site’s estimated 30 million annual visitors.
