GM Energy’s commercial customers gain access to FreeWire fast-charging

FreeWire Technologies, an ultrafast electric vehicle (EV) charging company, announced a collaboration with GM Energy to expedite the deployment of ultrafast EV charging infrastructure for GM Envolve fleet and commercial customers nationwide.

FreeWire’s Boost Charger, an ultrafast EV charging system, can be deployed quickly with minimal infrastructure upgrades. The system can be set up in a matter of days, eliminating the need for costly construction or electrical upgrades. This makes it an ideal solution for customers who require ultrafast charging but have limited on-site power, face lengthy or expensive construction timelines for grid capacity, or lease the property where they plan to install charging.

The agreement will also enable GM Envolve to offer commercial customers a comprehensive energy transition package that includes both vehicles and a charging solution tailored to their specific needs. GM Energy and FreeWire aim to accelerate access to more convenient charging for fleet electrification and lower the barriers to broader EV adoption.

GM Energy will start offering charging solutions from FreeWire in early 2024. For more information, visit http://www.gmenvolve.com or http://www.gmenergy.gm.com.
