German battery maker CustomCells launches first international site in Detroit

CustomCells, a German battery company, has established its first international subsidiary in Detroit, Michigan.

The new location will initially function as a central hub for coordinating the company’s activities in the North American market. The company also plans to establish an innovation and R&D center, and discussions are underway regarding a future on-site production facility.

CustomCells specializes in high-performance round cell batteries for premium automotive and motorsports. The company also provides solutions for e-motorcycles, electrified aviation, and applications on and underwater.

Dr. Christoph Falk, COO of CustomCells, stated, “The opening of the office marks the exciting first step forward in engaging the vital American market. We want to be even closer to our customers to provide them first-class battery solutions and, in terms of logistics, as quickly as possible.”
