Fastned to open 300th station in the coming weeks

Fastned anticipates the opening of its 300th station in the upcoming weeks.

Despite the challenges posed by adverse weather conditions impacting construction and grid connections, the company has successfully opened 41 new stations in 2023 and currently has 29 stations under construction.

However, due to these unforeseen circumstances, Fastned is unlikely to meet its initial forecast of over 60 new stations for 2023. The company now projects to open between 53 and 60 new stations in 2023, with many more of the stations currently under construction expected to open in early 2024.

Fastned has been developing fast-charging infrastructure for electric vehicles across Europe since 2012. Fastned, which was founded in Amsterdam, has constructed more than 280 fast charging stations in the Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, Belgium, France, and Switzerland.

The company plans to open its first station in Denmark by the end of 2023 and its first station in Italy by the end of 2024. Fastned’s infrastructure allows drivers to charge their electric vehicle with up to 300 km of range in 15 minutes before continuing their journey.
