Equipmake will supply motors for BRM AERO’s electric two-seater electric plane

Equipmake has secured a contract to develop motors BRM AERO’s electric two-seater electric plane, The Bristell B23 Energic.
Equipmake will develop the motors for electric aviation propulsion system maker H55, who will integrate their motor controllers for their customer BRM AERO.
Previously, Equipmake was making electric motors for H55 prototypes, and now the companies are working on a 100kW fully certified Electric Propulsion System (EPS) for the new plane.
Certification of the motor is planned to finish by end of 2024, ready for production to start in 2025.
Equipmake has been chosen for its expertise in advanced electrification technology and rapid manufacturing with bespoke high-performance motors created for H55 using its proprietary rotor design, using Halbach array technology to deliver significant advantages.
