BYD produces their 7 millionth new energy vehicle

BYD produced its 7 millionth new energy vehicle, the DENZA N7, at its factory in Jinan, China.
To give a little history, in May 2021, BYD hit 1 million cars, then tripled that within 18 months. 9 months later, they hit 5 million, and 7 months from that point, they hit the new 7 million milestone.
BYD has proven it has a robust end-to-end supply chain with scale and demand for their vehicles continues to increase. In 2023, BYD’s cumulative annual sales of NEV reached 3.02 million units. A variety of models from its extensive brand portfolio consistently led sales rankings within their individual categories.
In 2023, BYD expanded its global footprint, with overseas new energy passenger car sales exceeding 240,000 units—a 337% year-on-year growth. To date, BYD’s new energy passenger vehicles have been introduced to 64 countries and regions globally, with strategic investments in manufacturing facilities in Thailand, Brazil, Uzbekistan, and Hungary. This year, BYD also becomes the official partner of UEFA European Football Championship 2024.
Looking ahead, BYD plans to broaden and deepen localization strategies for its products, technologies, and brand presence across international markets, continuing to drive the global automotive industry towards a greener era.
