Beam Global granted European patent for battery thermal management tech

Beam Global has been awarded a new patent by the European Patent Office for its battery thermal management tech.

Titled: “Thermal State of Charge Estimation of Phase Change Material (PCM) in a Battery Pack with a PCM Thermal Management System”, the system monitors the thermal storage capacity of Beam Global’s proprietary phase change composite (PCCTM) material and automatically adjusts the power output of the battery packs and cells based on the PCC thermal storage capacity. This helps ensure a predetermined safe temperature limit is maintained.
