Basquevolt hits solid-state milestone: now assembling 20Ah cell with more than 450Wh/kg energy density

Basquevolt has reported new strides in its solid-state battery journey. In just nine months, they’ve progressed from assembling 1Ah cells to now 20Ah cells.
They said this is a key step towards its plan to create solid-state cells with an energy density of over 450Wh/kg, approximately 50% more than the leading batteries currently available. The company is using its proprietary composite electrolyte developed over the course of 10 years.
The company’s next steps are to wrap up the overall qualification of the cells to ensure the cells are safer than existing lithium batteries. Once ready for production, they plan to accommodate electric passenger and commercial vehicles, renewable energy storage, and electronic devices.
