X-BATT and Semplastics, companies specializing in energy storage solutions, have announced a new collaboration with Princeton NuEnergy and the Battery Innovation Center.

The Department of Energy has recognized and supported this collaboration through a Phase II Small Business Innovation and Research (SBIR) Grant, highlighting its potential impact.

In other news, the Battery Innovation Center has appointed Les Alexander, a seasoned executive with over 25 years of leadership experience in the commercial and national security sectors, to guide its expansion and support a new era of growth. Alexander, who previously served as Vice President of Government and Defense R&D at Navitas Systems, an East Penn Company, also has a 12-year service record as an officer in the United States Navy, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
